With a rich background in real estate investment and strategic marketing, her journey into entrepreneurship was fueled by her extensive experience and enthusiasm for the industry.

Vontenea’s journey began with her deep passion for athletics as she played Division II collegiate basketball and served as team captain. Balancing the demands of her athletic commitments, she excelled academically while maintaining a part-time job, further demonstrating her strong work ethic and determination. Her sports experience instilled valuable lessons in leadership, character-building, and teamwork. The discipline and resilience developed through 6 a.m. workouts and twice-daily practices continue to drive her professionally. The skills honed on the basketball court—discipline, teamwork, and resilience—have seamlessly translated into her career, fueling her success in both corporate and entrepreneurial roles.

After college, Vontenea spent nearly a decade in various corporate roles, including Regional Market Manager, International Communication Manager, and International Product Manager. In these roles, she drove cross-functional coordination among international stakeholders, developed market and product strategies to sustain profitability, and implemented software to streamline internal processes. She spent 4 years living and working in Europe, gaining valuable international experience and a global perspective that informs her business approach and strategies. Her efforts significantly contributed to an impressive annual net sales figure of $50 million. 

Her debut book, The Game Plan: 7 Real Estate Lessons from the Court, guides readers through the essential elements needed to excel in the real estate investing landscape. Drawing from her experiences as a collegiate athlete and her success in real estate, she blends the worlds of sports and investing to provide a unique and insightful approach.

Vontenea is a proud first-generation college graduate, achieving advanced degrees and demonstrating a commitment to education and personal development. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and a Master of Business Administration from Pfeiffer University.
